Join us for our Australia Day BBQ - Bush fires fundraiser

Our yearly Australia Day BBQ held this year on Sunday 26th January was organised as a fundraising event for the bush fires victims.

The Board and members of the Australian Network in Belgium had been deeply moved by the bushfires in Australia. People came to us asking how they can help and have wanted to stand in solidarity with Australians through this terrible ongoing tragedy.

Since our announcement that all profits would be donated to and divided between the Australian Red Cross and WIRES (wildlife rescue) we were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and offers of sponsorship. Consequently we held a Charity Auction at the BBQ where people bid in person on the day or through a proxi, for prizes kindly offered by corporate, small business and private indivudal sponsors.

Typically for an Australian BBQ meat is on the menu, but we have alternative vegetarian and vegan options. You can make your choice when purchasing your tickets.

This event is open to Australian Network in Belgium members and non-members alike. We gladly welcome all people who have an affinity with Australia and its people.

If you are a member, you and your family members are entitled to a discount. To register and choose member discounted tickets you must first login with your member credentials on the “My Account” page. Then go to the “Shop” page to add your tickets to the shopping cart. (If you are not logged-in the member discounted tickets are hidden.)

If you are not a member and would like to attend, just go to the “shop” page to reserve and pay for your place(s). Or if you would like to attend this event as a member of the Australian Network in Belgium asbl/vzw you can easily join immediately by following this link.

After completing the membership payment process, close the website window, then go back and login with your member credentials, go to the shop and select the member dinner tickets to pay €27 each for yourself and a partner instead of the normal price of €35 per person.

For both members and non-members, on the “Check Out” page your personal/company details will be listed or you can fill in the relevant details. After your payment you will receive confirmation by email and an invoice to you/your company with details you provided in your account or during the check-out procedure.
